Bough Beech Pacers! the evening series kicks off next Thursday the Pacers did very well last year. Join me this year and hone your racing skills on this friendly evening series (26/5/2005),

Time flies when you are having fun,(updated 21/04/2005) it's time to get the covers off and get your boats ready for the upcoming season. The summer program is ready and will be published shortly, a sea venue has been found for the Nationals. The season will kick off with a training day on the 2nd July followed with racing on the 3rd. this is a fantastic opportunity for new sailors to come and meet fellow enthusiasts, and find out what makes the boat go quick or slow. whether you race or cruise, there will be information for all -watch this space for details.

Training day- (updated 7/10/04) At the AGM it was proposed that we should offer a training day for any one interested in developing their knowledge of the Pacer, from basic set up to advanced racing tactics, our most experienced helms and crews will be on hand to offer on the spot advice, what makes the boat go slow and what makes the boat go quick, a great opportunity for new and old sailors to meet and discuss our favourite pastime in our favourite class of boat Can I ask you all to take time to E mail back wether you would be interested in attending such an event, so I can get an idea of numbers etc, I hope to hold the session late spring of 2005. 2004 Pacer Nationals and AGM (updated 15/3/2004)
This year sees a change of venue for the 2004 Nationals and AGM.  After a number of years of being hosted by the Herne Bay Sailing club,  this year's event will be held at the inland venue of Maidstone Sailing club.

Less than 3 weeks to go!!! To the this years Nationals at Herne Bay, the 16th and 17th August £25 (20 for over 55s and under 16s) entrance fee the racing starting at 12:00 midday

Does your pacer fly from wave crest to wave crest leaving others in its near supersonic wake, or does it just wallow, like mine? Need some tips to quicken the pace of life? This months sailing tip, "Boat Speed Criteria" may just be what you need!

Graham Butler may think he has the trophy in the bag but it is only nine races to count so it is all down to the last four races. Paul Lloyd or the Brian Stratton / Kevin O Tool combo are still in with a shout.

Annual General Meeting date set (updated 21/01/2003)
The AGM will coincide with the National Championships and will be held after the end of racing at Herne Bay, on the 17th August.

New Sailing Tips (updated 18/01/2003)
This year sees the printing of sailing tips directed at the Pacer sailor. Updated every month, these tips should enable all of us to get more out of our boats, or at the very least, make sailing them even more enjoyable. These tips do not originate from me, so if you recognise the work as your own, or a friend's, please let me know, so we can give credit where it is due.
